Bringing warmth, compassion, and a proactive approach to patient care, Dr. Di Giulio is the founder of The Wellness Principle and a highly regarded expert in the field of integrative oncology. Her commitment to patient empowerment and collaborative integrative treatment is the cornerstone of TWP’s method–and mission.

Dr. Bianca graduated with a B.A. in social welfare from UC Berkeley, where she also became a certified massage therapist and studied Reiki, Shiatsu, and Acupressure. After working as a bilingual Spanish/English family advocate at a family resource center in Lake Tahoe, all while continuing to study anatomy, energy work, and therapeutic massage, she went on to earn a Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley (AIMC).

As her acupuncture practice grew, she began to observe, again and again, how Chinese medicine could offer an invaluable holistic framework, and powerful healing, to patients with complex conditions, particularly cancer. Dr. Bianca apprenticed with practitioners who focused on oncology, and she specialized in integrative oncology at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) in San Francisco, where she interned at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and earned her Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) degree in 2015. She launched Insight Cancer Care, a specialized integrative cancer care program, in 2022 to optimize outcomes in her cancer patients with high level, one-to-one customized care.

In support of her commitment to the continued integration of TCM into modern lifestyles, Dr. Bianca worked as the Director of Research & Development for a sleep start-up, where she developed a dozen products integrating Chinese herbs with Western herbs and supplements. She serves as a mentor to rising researchers and practitioners, and she has been a clinical supervisor for a cancer clinic shift at AIMC, which provided complimentary treatments for low-income cancer patients. When she isn’t concocting a custom herbal brew at The Wellness Principle pharmacy, she enjoys cooking up Italian feasts, tending her medicinal garden, and practicing her Animal Reiki skills with her rescue pup, Rufus.

Dr. Bianca has been voted “Best Acupuncturist” by the North Bay Bohemian in 2021 and 2022.

“When I was a new doctor, I overheard a seasoned colleague say that she had just sent home an end-stage cancer patient from her clinic because there was nothing she could do. That was a pivotal moment in my professional career. My internal response was ‘wow,’ and then immediately, ‘oh hell no.’ There is always something we can do. It may not always be needles; it may not be lifesaving. But we can hold space, or hold a hand. We can be there.”
